As a novice, this is a great practice violin. Sound comparable to a $300 version that I played at the music store. The tone was enhanced when I’ve changed the strings and applied a dampener. Not bad for starting to learn, but will need to upgrade to a better version when it is time to advance. Only given four stars because it does feel like a cheaper quality when compared to the $300 version.
