Love this drum! it looks beautiful and I leave it on my coffee table for fun with guests who visit. It comes with a songbook that guides you to learn. Day 1 I recorded happy birthday for my son. For the price it’s a fun instrument. It might not have perfect tone, but it is fun! This is the 14″ size in blue . It comes with finger daubers, sticks holder, music 🎵 book and a beautiful padded zipper case.

This drum has a beautiful, rich, deep sound. The only other steel tongue drum that I have is in D minor, so this is a much different sound, and at first, I wasn’t fond of it. After playing a few songs on it, though, I love it! This drum is much larger than my other drum. My other drum is 12 inches, and this one is 14 inches. I very much recommend this drum, but if you are a beginner, like me, I would suggest getting a drum in D Minor. Get the largest drum you can, with preferably 15 notes. You won’t be disappointed!
The reason I suggest a drum in D minor for beginners, is because the C major drum sounds deep, and you will get more of a tinkling sound in D minor. It’s the sound that most people desire when they begin playing. Either way, you will not be disappointed. Also, if you are going to have two drums, you will want them to have the same number of notes. If you get one with 13 notes, and one with 15 notes, it’s akin to having pianos with keys in different areas. It’s confusing to me to try to play one with 13 notes, as they are in different spots on the drum.
