Sharpener, quarter, my trusted French 6” blade kitchen knife and kitchen shears. All for size comparison. I AM DELIGHTED! This sharpener diamond file is 7 1/2” from tip to end of handle. Fits in my hand perfectly. The rubber like handle( don’t know if it’s rubber) offers a great, non slippery grip. I had lost my handheld knife sharpener ( we think it went in the trash while we were scraping food and peels from a cutting board) and I was inconsolable. Had it for 10 yrs and couldn’t find a replacement. This little thing reminds me of the honing stone my dad used in the old country! And boy! Does it do the job! I immediately tried it on my French knife and couldnt believe what a great job it did. Next, I tested the knife on a tomato and was able to go through it without any effort. Wow! I hope it lasts. Meantime, I’m ordering a few more for myself, my friend and my sister. PS: you have to know how to use it and it takes a few swipes, but it’s the same with any other longer and more expensive file sharpeners.
