I have gotten other boxes like this that have warped, so I am hoping this one won’t. This one doesn’t have a rubber gasket like the others I have. It is the size stated, but It seems small. It is better for covering connections than it is for putting a power strip in it. I am sure I will find some kind of use for it, but at the moment my bigger ones are more useful. I’ll update if I have any issues with it.

This box is set up for a cord to come in each end, and it is perfect for protecting where you plug lights into an extension cord. It is not designed to be permanently mounted, and they say you need to leave it flat for max water resistance.

Sometimes outdoor projects require making electrical cord connections in damp locations. This box is great because you can securely connect two electrical cords in a waterproof chamber. The box is large enough to handle jumbo size plugs. The rubber gaskets at the end of the box hold a 12 gauge power cord, but 2 cords is a tighter fit. I am using this outside during summer to connect the power cord from a sump pump to a longer cord. The clips on the box allow a secure connection and a tight closure. I was surprised the box does not have a rubber gasket around the inside of the cover. Also, there is a warning on the instructions not to submerge in water or bury underground. The box must remain flat on level ground to avoid water penetration. This is enough for my setup, but if you need a 100% waterproof enclosure, keep searching.
