Even though it had great reviews I was still skeptical. Living in AZ my car interior gets hotter than any other place I have experienced. Even still I have endured burned hands and legs because accordion style shades don’t stay in place, don’t fit my windshield, are built too flimsy to keep out the scorching heat or are plain annoying to store and install. All that to say the reviews are correct!! It is both worth the cost and the only style I will ever use again! It is easy to open, fits my windshield perfectly. Velcro fastens to the rear view then zips ensuring the sun doesn’t sneak through the edges. Taking down is just as easy as setting it up. I waited a few days to make a review just to be sure of all things already mentioned. Most importantly, I have not neglected to set it up a single time since I purchased it weeks ago. Overall an excellent purchase!!

I have a 2017 Ford Focus RS, which has a pretty large sized windshield. I was having trouble trying to find the dimensions of this specific sun shade for the Large size until I read another review with the measurements, so I ordered a Large. I most likely would not have ordered it at normal price due to how much it cost but I bought this during Prime Day.
First time using it, it was pretty easy to learn how to use. It doesn’t open up as fast as a normal umbrella which is nice, only issue is it is a bit awkward to try to open with the shape of my dashboard, but I feel like flatter dashboards won’t have much trouble. I like that it has the Velcro strap that can also double to hold the sunshade in place above the mirror. I put down my visors for extra support, and the handle when collapsed is a good length for my dash to help prop up the shade.
The Large fits my car perfectly. There is little to no sun showing through any of the corners or edges. I have noticed it helps keep my car a bit cooler too.
When I took it out of the packaging, it had a little bit of a plastic smell, which wasn’t too big of a deal for me at first. However, after getting in my car after the first, the entire car smelled like burnt plastic. I live where it is 110+ degrees during the summer and my car sits uncovered at work for 8 hours, so this plastic smell intensified quite a lot. I’ve used it for a week straight and the smell is still persistent. I’ve been cracking my windows to let the smell out while in use but it still lingers.
I’m giving this 4/5 stars due to the smell. Otherwise, it is a great sunshade.

I love the idea of it collapsing like an umbrella for space saving however I’m not sure how much cooler my car is compared to the thicker accordion traditional style. It’s better than not having anything up for sure. We have purchased two so far mainly because of how compact it is when closed. That is the main reason for 4 stars.

I really liked this item so it’s a bummer that I’ll have to return it because it doesn’t work in my 2022 Corolla. My touch screen display prevents the umbrella shade from going all the way into the windshield.

This is a great sunshade. I’ve used it now for about a month and it has really made a difference when my car is left out in a parking lot with significant sun coverage. Before, I had electronics in the car that would shut off due to overheating. Now that is no longer an issue. It was a little tricky the first time I used it, but it was easy to figure out and I can deploy it in under a minute now. Taking it down is just as easy.
If I am in need of another sun shade for future cars, I would definitely look here first.

This was a great purchase. Basically a window umbrella for your car. Easy to use and doesn’t take up the whole back seat for storage. It opens right up and is easy to put in place. Since it opens like an umbrella, I feared it would be too clunky when opening it inside the car. To my surprise that wasn’t the case at all. Design is quite well where you can open it right on the front window without much maneuvering for space. It does feel a bit flimsy however I am willing to overlook that fact due to the light weight nature of the product. It’s held in place by the zipper and strap you use that can go across the top side of the review mirror. Storage wise, hands down best in class. Folds down to the size of a hand umbrella and has a nice quality case to put back in. One thing to note it does not completely fit snug, which is ok because you want just a tad of leeway to be able to retract the umbrella. Overalls great product and would highly recommend for someone in the market looking for a sunshade without taking too much space.
Medium size was big enough to cover the whole window of my 2017 CRV.

Although the packaging said SMALL, this was clearly a LARGE, as it measured nearly 59″ in width. Material quality seems good. The sun hasn’t been out here in several days, so I can’t tell if the cab will be cooler, but windshield coverage is good, so UV damage to the dashboard from the sun should be minimized. The top corners were a bit floppy, but didn’t leave much of a gap in this full-sized pickup. Width was about 4″ less than the windshield, and height closely matched the windshield. The gaps shouldn’t let in too much sun.
Deployment was easy, and the ability to shorten the handle meant that it would go up against the windshield handily without the handle dragging on the dash. The opening for the mirror was just long enough, and the band that holds the unit closed doubles as a closure above the mirror holding that slit together. The unit stayed in place without the aid of the visors. Stowing the unit was a little more difficult, as the whole thing needs to be wrapped very tightly to fit within the attached band, and into the holder tube. Difficult, but by no means impossible. Once it its tube, it is very compact – the tube fits in a cup holder on the door.
One star off because of the high price. Workmanship is good.

I like this sunshade. I definitely feel it keeps inside a bit cooler then the regular ones do. I don’t know if it’s worth the money I paid but, only time will tell if it lasts mechanically for a while. It is like opening an umbrella and fits my Honda Civic to a tee. So, although I can understand some of the bad reviews, mine will be a bit more positive.
