Small, and good for outside,

These lights are pretty dim, they light up an area just enough so you don’t trip on something. Do not get these if you’re looking for lights to use in a shop, garage or anywhere you actually need to see what you’re doing.

This light is very easy to install, and with the separated, solar panel, the light can be mounted inside, while the solar panel is on the outside of the building. I installed those lights on my outhouse, a small hole in the wall is enough to connect the wiring. When you walk into the outhouse, the light comes on. We have very long dark winters in Alaska so these lights are a perfect addition to outside bathroom.

EDIT – despite having the solar panel in a place that gets plenty of sun during the day, the light totally stopped working after 2 days. I confirmed the connection between the panel and the light was secure, and turned the light off for two days to let the battery recharge. Even after that, it still wouldn’t turn on. Returning the unit.

For the price, this solar powered motion sensing light does the job. The fact the panel is separate from the light unit (and connected by a nice, long 16 foot cord) makes getting around corners easy. Or you can mount the panel on the outside of something (ex- a gazebo) and have the light on the inside.
All three modes work well, and the light provided in “full power” mode is more than sufficient.
Instead of using the mounting brackets (I didn’t want to even try setting screws through aluminum siding), I was able to mount the units with the Command Hanging Strips. It took about 3 minutes to hang both units (including time spent holding the unit against the strip to let it begin to adhere.
There are a couple features I would like to see, but I won’t complain or dock the rating for the price.
1) There’s no on/off timer – meaning the light, if set to Mode 1 or 3, will always activate if someone/something walks through the motion field, even during the day. It would be nice if the unit could be set (or had an ambient light sensor) that would allow the light to activate only at night (or in other low light scenarios, such as super cloudy day).
2) No range/motion sensing angle.
But despite those, still a great value that does the purpose of bringing decent light to an area, and no inside wiring is needed.

These seemed like a good deal but not feeling good about this purchase right now. The lights operate as described when NOT plugged into their solar panel, however after 24 hrs of charging the lights will not come on.
Any suggestions?
UPDATE: I contacted the seller after this purchase and was able to fix the problem by swapping the 2-prong connector. They were quick to get back to me and happy with the purchased at this point.
