I was surprised at how durable these rubber mallets are given the low cost, I used the bigger 16oz one for a 1300sqft flooring job and the rubber held up nice, no frays or loss of material. The handle feels good, and I’d expect them to last a while for sure. Overall, I’m very happy with them.

At 16 bucks for the pair, these rubber mallets represent a very good value. They are well made and well sized. The smaller mallet in particular lends itself to uses where just a small impact is needed during construction of more delicate materials. The mallets feel well balanced and the rubberized handles make them easy to hold and control. What is not to like? These are a solid 5 star product, for value and quality.

Not a serious tool. Diameter of handle is approx 2.75″ which is not really suitable for an adult male’s hand, much too small. You can see the difference in the photos. The handle on the other tool, an old hammer, is approx 4.25″ in diameter; that fits my hand. May be okay for light duty use but I use my rubber mallets for landscaping purposes and this just isn’t up to the job. Better options available.
