I only rated this with 4 stars because I don’t like that the “Sleep Mode” stops the “Cold Mode”. This prevents the unit from adjusting flow up during the night. I don’t think “Sleep” should be a “Mode”, it should just shut off the LEDs. If it did just shut them off, I’d rate it 5 stars.
After you get the set points established (a little confusing but do-able), you need to stay in the “Cold Mode” (and I presume Hot Mode) for the fan to use it’s logic to keep responding to temperature changes. The “Sleep Mode” takes the logic out of this responding until you re-select “Cold Mode”, etc.
If I wanted the fan to stay at a fixed speed all night, I’d set that speed manually.
I’m going to have to put a small piece of dark cloth over the LED because the light interferes with our sleep.
The noise is higher when the fans have stepped up to their 2 highest flows (out of 5) but honestly I couldn’t complain about that – I’d expect it and it’s not unreasonable.

It’s 2 PC cooling fans with some electronics.
You have to run it full steam, to get real air flow, but then you hear it, kinda howling noise.
Remote is quite cool feature. It’s RFm so I just press it on my desk, with fan being about 8 feet behind me.
Don’t expect it to make any major difference, but works fine.

Great product to help circulate the AC/Heat in any room. Ample wiring to make it to an outlet. The auto cool doesn’t really work since the thermostat is on the vent and tends to read the temp of the air/vent and not actually the room temp, so I just keep it on the fan feature. Works so good. Manages to regulate the airflow and keep the second floor bedrooms cool during the hot summer. I would definitely recommend these for anyone who is having issues with cooling/heating a room. Oh, and the fans are pretty quiet and do not disturb while sleeping or watching tv. Only when fan is on high, will it get noisy.

It’s so hard to say whether this is truly working or not. I feel like it is…but it’s tough to say. Upstairs in the summer our AC struggles to cool the second floor and our bedroom is the furthest away from the unit. I mean I feel like it’s cooled things down a little bit but not a significant difference. Also I found the controls to be weird and confusing and it would kick on when the AC was off, and turn off when the AC was on so I just have the fan going/blowing to it’s always moving air. 🤷♀️

It’s much quieter than my last one

It’s just not working, I don’t know how the sensor that is on the top will detect the room temperature with the air coming out from the vent. The idea is good but the application needs more engineering. I’m returning it because it’s just not working.

I can see where this will likely only be good for someone who has a basically “dead vent.” I believe it may slow airflow on anything that’s remotely normal. I’m using this to ventilate my outside storage that doesn’t have natural air flow. It seems to work quite well electronically, but it’s pretty confusing to figure out set temps. Remote is very handy as vent is mounted in ceiling. It moves air into my storage about as I had hoped. Just moving enough to keep it from being a furnace in the top 2 feet. Cannot hear the fan in bed on the other side of the wall. On highest fan in same room it may be difficult for very light sleepers. Seems well built and thoughtful features. Packed VERY well. 4 instead of 5 stars for odd phrasing in instructions – more straightforward clarity on setting temps would help. Only DC powered, so don’t expect a Vornado fan. So far I like it!

We have a tv room that was an addition to our older house, but the AC/Heat does not get to that room, so we hardly use it. We have used space heaters in the past for the winter but just put up with it in the summer. After installing this booster vent, we noticed a change in the room. It is now comfortable to sit in this summer. I can’t wait to use it this winter to see the difference it makes!

It works, noise is fine. If on the highest setting you can hear in a quiet room but its more white noise than a plane taking off like some say. On unit controls are ok, need remote to keep it simple (hence 4 stars) i guess fan settings for desired temps will depend on the room. For the 8×12 room its in it needs to be on 2nd to highest setting for noticeable results.
In short it works, your settings will vary per room size and duct work. Longevity will hopefully be good. It uses 2 computer style fans and they tend to last a few years.
Ifor me it was worth the $$

After returning a less expensive fan from a competitor because it had no effect I took a chance on this one, though it was more expensive. We need it in our master bedroom which is located furthest from the furnace and is anywhere from 2-3 warmer in the summer. However it was well worth the added cost as the temperature changed within hours. The differential from the first floor is now less than half a degree. Interestingly the basement which was 8 degrees colder than the main floor is now only 3- 4 degrees colder as we believe the fan is drawing the cold air up constantly even when it is automatically on the lowest fan speed. The dual benefit was worth it.

The product was very easy to set up and works fantastic. Highly recommended for anybody who’s looking to get in heat or air conditioning into a room.
