I was skeptical at first when I got this machine. There are 4 of us in the family so the amount of ice we use during the hot summer days is 2 trips a week to 7-11 to get ice. the problem with that is i have to waste gas to go 7-11 and i have to fill up my freezer in the garage when it makes no sense and not efficient. When I got this going it i didn’t think it was going to produce enough ice for us to sustain the whole day, but what a surprise, it gave us so much ice in so little time usually in less than 7 minutes up and offer up to 26 lbs of ice a day that’s plenty. we have to put it in the ice dispenser in the refrigerator for later use (the ice maker in the fridge was broken for years so this is the perfect solution for the sizzling summer days), just remember to refill water when it runs out otherwise, so you have supplies continuously.
We love this little giant no regrets we highly recommended.

Followed instructions to clean and make ice but it never got cold. The indicator light never stopped blinking and no water was being used. Also the “fill” light kept coming on even though it was full of water. We are returning this unit.

This ice maker is working great right out of the box. I do not see any evidence of a UV Light though, which was why I chose this unit and which is why I only gave it 3 stars. I don’t think the UV light is there or it isn’t working. Makes lots of ice quickly. Already have 3 10 lb bags of ice in 1 day along with keeping my 40 oz mug. Full. The ice is exactly like Sonic Ice which we love love love!

So the water line attachment is just a plastic tube. No end pieces to secure it to the wall water line or the machine itself. Other ice makers come with the attachments, this does not. Grrr. Im going to have to buy a water line kit now and hope it fits the machine. Also they use old school fiber tape instead of painters tape to secure the stuff inside for transport so there’s a black sticky smudge inside the water area that I can’t get off because it says not to use detergent or soap in there, just vinegar and water. I’ll update once I get it working and see how the actual ice production is. So far I’m frustrated!

Previously owned GE opal 2 that performed well for 5 years. As you can see this ice Maker is used outside on a patio in Buffalo New York.
The picture of the ice basket was taken 10 minutes after the machine was plugged in and started to make ice.
First impressions:
The big selling point of this unit is the UVC STERILIZER LIGHT!
Machine is much quieter and appears to be much faster.
This machine is very well insulated so it will hold ice for 8 hours without power that was important to us
as it sits on the patio in our warm Buffalo weather.
It definitely makes ice faster than the opal no question about it so far it’s blowing me away I’m so impressed.
One week later:
This is the KING of Nugget ice makers! It is so quiet! Keeps ice frozen because of the insulation on all 6 sides. LOVE IT!!!!
