Pros – perfect Sonic like ice. Quiet machine.
Cons – slooowww to make any decent amount of ice 🐢 … it arrived on a Friday and we started it up to make ice for a BBQ on Sunday. We did not even have 1 bag of ice after filling it with water when it needed it. Disappointed. I’ve been searching for one for months and thought this one would be it. Maybe it’s defective ??? but we are returning it

Lots of complaints it is SO loud but it was as loud as I would expect. Nothing crazy. It does blow some good heat but I imagine that’s normal. Ice is great, only wish it made it quicker but for the price especially with the $100 off coupon it is great

Works great. Does what it’s supposed to do. Love that it has a cleaning cycle. Only complaint is that the Large setting makes cubes that are quite small. I actually had to double check that it wasn’t on the wrong setting.

Only reason for not rating 5 is that the water capacity and the collection basket are much smaller than the Igloo that I have so I must attend to it constantly by collecting ice and adding water. Ice produced is no different.

Fantastic little ice maker, and it makes the small chewable ice both my dog, Jazz, and I like! I followed the instructions from another reviewer, and let it sit 24 hours, then cleaned it prior to using the first time. It worked flawlessly and made a whole medium size baggie worth of ice from 2 bottles of purified water in a very acceptable time. Jazz is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and loves ice, but it has to be the perfect size for him. Too large of cubes, and he ignores them. I throw a handful of these cubes on the floor, and he is all over them! They are just perfect, and I love them in my tea and ice water, too. Yes, they freeze up in the baggie in the freezer, but they are not difficult to break up again with a large fork. I had wanted one of these for a long time, but was unwilling to pay $400 for one. This was pleasantly affordable!

So this little machine is amazing! Follow the included instructions, don’t be impatient, and you will have they yummy, chewable ice that the dentist won’t fuss at you for eating! It makes ice quickly. It’s not super loud. Especially amongst most normal household noise. Maybe different if it’s hear a pin drop quite in your home, but I have a teenager and a parrot, and it’s nothing compared to that! I use my filtered drinking water in it. It comes with a scoop, and 3 ice bags. The ice bucket is easily removed. The water recirculates if the ice melts before use, as this is not a freezer just an ice machine. Which is actually nice in my opinion. The nugget ice is wetter than other ice cubes, but just use the scoop and stir it around. If you put it in bags in the freezer I recommend you move it around some at first. If it freezes hard it should still break apart easy like any ice in a bag when dropped on the ground or cooler. If you find you have too much ice or your going to be gone for a long period. Turn it off and pull the water plug underneath and drain anything in it so it doesn’t mildew. Do the self cleans as recommended especially if you have hard water. I love mine and I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Have had it for a few weeks. The ice is great. I don’t really have a problem with it melting, I just transfer to the freezer when the basket gets full. The maker is pretty loud, we even put it in a cabinet and it’s still noticeably loud. Also, the ice tends to jam when the basket is approximately half full. Requires constant monitoring to allow it to make a full basket

Par contre quand je lais. Reçu ça sentais beaucoup le linge mouiller même. Après un rinçage.
Les Glaces son bonne.
Pas de problème jusqu’à maintenant ( je lais reçu hier et installé aujourd’hui)

This may not have all the WiFi bells and whistles that the actual ‘Opal’ ice maker has and in my opinion are probably not totally needed, BUT… this UNIT Produces Actual Perfect Opal Ice!
I followed all the instructions (make sure that you do this) and after the settling/waiting and cleaning, as per instructed, I made a batch of ice that was amazing. I did toss it as, for me, I had no problem waiting for the internal to have a fresh water run through before, using any of the ice.
This, is “good eatin’ ice”. Seriously, if you like to eat ice, this is the Unit For You!
Don’t toss out your Large Ice Cube Trays, yet, you may need them for Ice Chest filling where cubes need to last longer. If you are an Ice Eater, THIS is the UNIT For YOU!
A couple of suggestions: When putting your Nugget Ice into the provided plastic bags, or another container, visit your ice every 10 minutes or so to make sure that it is broken up. Your ice will come out ‘wet’ and The Unit DOES NOT Keep the Ice Frozen. You need to move the ice to the Freezer and just give it a little “shake”. Even if it does freeze dry solid, it should break up fairly easily.
This Unit is not large. It sits nicely upon my counter, next to the sink. I do need to bring it forward when opening the Lid but that really, isn’t even worth a mention…But I just did…LOL
I wanted to add that the Unit is not Noisy. A gentle humming motor noise and hardly a sound when the Ice drops. All around, it is a very quiet operation.
If, at any time, you have an issue…I highly recommend contacting the company and I hope that you are assigned Patrick. Patrick is the most amazing Customer Service Representative that I have had the pleasure to encounter. I have more than one Ecozy Product and while I have had no issue with this Nugget Ice Maker, I know that any problems that I may encounter will be handled in the utmost professional manner possible.

This ice maker is perfect for our needs. It doesn’t take up much space on the counter and it makes tiny chewable ice pellets similar to Sonic ice pellets, but these have a more squared shape. We love it!

This little ice maker is a hard worker. One important note is that it doesn’t keep the ice frozen once it’s made. So you have to be ready to either use the ice pretty quickly or bag it and freeze it. That being said, it certainly does it’s job well!
